On Sunday 9th September 2007 a team of staff from Cambridge Building Society took part in the Cambridge Evening News' annual charity walk, 'Bridge the Gap'. Staff enjoyed the sunshine and hidden sights of Cambridge, including eight Cambridge colleges and the University's Sedgwick Museum, on the 4.5 mile charity walk.

Staff, along with friends and family gather at the Society's Administration Centre before the walk.
Now in its sixth year, Bridge the Gap has raised in excess of £170,000 for charity through entry fees and sponsorship money raised by the walkers.
Michelle Thomas, a Lending Services Supervisor said:
"We all had a really enjoyable day. It was great to see inside some of the city's fascinating colleges, whilst raising funds for such a worthwhile cause."
In total, the Society entered over 30 walkers in the event, which started and finished on Jesus Green. Staff, family and friends helped do their bit to raise money in aid of Arthur Rank House day hospice, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Press Relief, the Cambridge Evening News' community fund.
